Hello! I am a PhD student, quantitative researcher, and teaching fellow at the University of Oxford’s Department of Social Policy & Intervention.
My PhD centers the Asian diaspora in Canada and the UK to understand the divergent ways that racialized social systems structure racialized people’s lives. This includes varied effects on political behaviour, health, and racial/ethnic identity formation itself, within the diaspora. You can check out my first PhD paper, which looks at how COVID-19 anti-Asian racism affected Asian Canadians’ party support, here. I am funded by the Canadian Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Doctoral Fellowship and my department’s Barnett Scholarship.
Prior to my PhD, I completed a Master of Science in Health Services Research and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences at the University of Toronto in Canada. When I’m not working, you can usually find me reading/climbing/drawing.
